No surprise in this article. Unfortunately, power in this country often goes to the most effective lobbyists and those who make the largest political contributions - until something blows up and causes power to be diminished (like the Toyota situation).

This is SOP for most in the last 50 years. All you have to do is follow the money, and kit easy to determine why your Senator or Representative voted as they did....
Sadly greywolves is right on target, and why Oil producing States have the weakest environmental laws too.
