LOL, I see more fear and ignorance has been bandied about.
"kiss your drinking water goodbye. Esp. in an area as arid as much of Texas, it's not a good thing to use all that water for fracking."
====================================================
I guess someone did not bother to check over some facts. :=)
The classic definition of 'arid' is desert. Desert rainfall averages are 0" to 10" per year, only a tiny fraction of Texas (far West Texas) qualifies as arid.
Even at that, drinking water has never been or currently is threatened by hydraulic fracturing that occurs 5,000 to over 10,000 feet below any aquifer.

San Antonio is already a big enough mess - they don't need more growth.

We need to produce this and keep it here. Even if it means to stockpile it.

The ultimate idea would be to produce it and keep it for our own consumption!!!

The supply will go to the highest bidder, China or India. It will do nothing to lower the U.S. domestic price of gasoline.

Drill in other areas and you will see similar growth (even in remote North Dakota). All that growth is fueled by money that is NOT going overseas to fund Islamic terrorists.

I'll bet they are fracking on the North and West sides, and that's why the most new growth is on the south side of San Antonio!

From Wikipedia:
The Eagle Ford Formation (also called the Eagle Ford Shale) is a sedimentary rock formation from the Late Cretaceous age underlying much of South and East Texas in United States, consisting of organic matter-rich fossiliferous marine shale. It derives its name from the old community of Eagle Ford, now a neighborhood in West Dallas, where outcrops of the Eagle Ford Shale were first observed. Such outcrops can be seen in the geology of the Dallas–Fort Worth Metroplex, and are labeled on images with the label "Kef". The Eagle Ford Shale is one of the most actively drilled targets for oil and gas in the United States in 2010. See http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eagle_Ford_Formation for rest of explanation.

Great news for Texas, I don't know why more states can't be sensible about drilling. Then they wonder why they have higher prices.
