I prefer gasoline, although natural gas is an easy alternative. I think they should be working with this rather than electric.

Diesel. I own 2 and would love to replace my 2001 Sport Trac with one but don't need a full size diesel truck. 1/2 ton diesels would be nice. :)

Why pay twice as much for a hybrid.........My recent rental car (Ford Focus) got 39MPG for My 1 week (1100 miles) travel in California.. If You can get 40MPG today, why bother with Hybrid?

Natural gas, of course! Engines can be easily converted and there is plenty of it -- cheaper!

electric charged by coal, disposal of toxic battery a problem, and cost is too much. A diesel is better

My first choice is for an Electric Vehicle because of the operational cost savings. My second choice would be a diesel engine vehicle for the power and slightly better fuel economy.

Something so out of date until it won't have a special name for it, but will be able to use regular gas, that is, if regular gas is still around.
Can't afford any of those new kind of cars they're making now. My car/jalopy is 13 years old and has 132,000 miles on it. I only use it when it is absolutely necessary, trying to "save' it as long as possible.
In comedy shows, dishonest car salesmen like to sell jalopies that are not up to par by telling the potential customers that the car was previously owned by a little old lady who only drove it to church on Sundays. My car could almost fit that description. I'm not a little old lady, but I use my car just like the little old ladies in the comedy shows. On one of those old Andy Griffith Shows, Barney, the deputy, was sold a clunker of a car described exactly like that. :-)
A great day to all!

I would love to have a diesel pickup, but I don't want to have to pay the extra for the def (diesel exhaust fluid) that all of the new motors require. The only diesel that I know of out there right now is the volkswagen tdi. It looks to be a great motor so maybe when my current vehicle gives up I will look seriously at one of those.

A diesel. Much better performance than hybrid and a lot less pollution, all things considered(production and nickel in the batteries).
